Inspire Group is a Specialist Learning Design Company. First of all our learning design approach is highly collaborative. So we work with you every step of the way to ensure we develop the best custom learning solution.
We work with you to discover the best learning solution unique to your organisations needs. It might include an elearning module or a board game, or a hands-on workshop. We want to take your pain away, not add to it. So we have a few learning design principles as well as a process for creating your custom learning solution.
Principles That Drive Our Learning Design Approach
Collaborative and co-creation
We believe in collaborating with you to co-create the high level solution. We know about great learning design, but nobody knows your specific audience or environment like you do.
Start with the end in mind; your goals
We start with your problem/challenge. We fall in love with the problem not the solution. So this provides you with a learning solution that is directly aligned to your organisational challenge.
We seek learner representation from the outset to ensure the proposed solutions are fit for purpose. What does this mean? Let’s have someone who’s actually going to experience the end solution as a learner, in the initial design session.
We are visual creatures and great learning is visual. Therefore we believe that the design process needs to also express this. We use visual thinking techniques (pictures on a white board) to communicate and convey clearly the ideas and concepts as they unfold. Because this generates clarity and provides for easy agreement as we move through the design phases.
- is relevant
- talks to the head and hands and heart
- engages the audience with stories
- is in the service of changing behaviour and accepts a growth mindset
- uses advances in neuroscience and research, including but not limited to; desirable difficulties, spacing, scaffolding, testing, interleaving, slow vs fast thinking, cognitive bias, visual thinking
- appreciates capacity and cognitive load.
Learning Design Process
Our 4D process below guides our collaborative approach to learning design. It is not a ridgid process and we can easily adapt along the journey.
Discover: Co-Design Session
An important part of the Discover step in the 4D proces is our co-design session. We’ll get in a room with lots of food and coffee and have some serious design fun. Out of this session we’ll draw you up a high-level design which you’ll have time to reflect on and feedback on. Once we’re both agreed on the way forward your Inspire team will get stuck in and start making stuff happen!
In summary, here’s an outline of what happens at a co-design session:
This session is highly collaborative where we co-create the high-level solution with you. To do this we employ visual thinking (sketches on a white board or chart paper) to convey and communicate the ideas generated in the session. Using this visual approach everyone can see the architecture of the solution unfolding and you can input into the solution. As a result, everyone leaves the session with a clear vision of the high-level learning solution required to meet your challenge.
Finally, this is just to give you a feel for how we can work together to resolve your organisation’s learning challenges. We would love to discuss your specific learning project. Get in touch to see how we can help.

Custom elearning solutions with a difference
What makes us different from the rest is simple. We don’t offer a set of elearning products that we sell to our clients. We wouldn’t dare to assume that we understand what you need from the offset. What we do is provide you with a depth of expertise in the learning sector and fall in love with your problem before even thinking about the solution. It sounds weird, we know.
We would love to discuss your specific learning project. Get in touch to see how we can help.
Below are some of the elearning principles we apply to our elearning modules. Having these agreed principles ensure we produce learning that is engaging and effective. Our learning principles focus on adult learners and creating the desired behaviour change.
We partner with organisations to develop customised team training programmes. Since 2001 we’ve been designing engaging and award-winning team training solutions for clients big and small across Australia and New Zealand. At Inspire Group we craft world-class team training experiences to help solve business challenges and shift behavior. Learning is like the art of storytelling. Team Training For Leaders By Leaders
We believe that great leadership changes lives.
Actually, we don’t just believe it. We know it, and we see it in the impact of our blended solutions, and in our own transformational journey as Inspire Group grows globally.
Inspire Leaders co-creates and delivers solutions that grow, challenge and nurture great individual and organisational leadership. Because not all great leaders are born; we need to continually learn, practice and grow in all aspects of our lives.
As leaders, we’ve sat through our fair share of ‘transformational leadership programmes’, digested content and tools, had insights and yet somehow not embedded these ‘wonderful’ techniques into our real world. Like many, we’ve blindly struggled on with the debilitating mindset that the more senior we got, the more we had to do.
We know there is a better way. A way we know works.
Team Training – Being Not Doing
Over the years, by shifting our focus to the ways and beliefs of leading through reflection, stories, practice and focus on the ‘self’, and away from the mechanics of management, the more memorable, successful and impactful our solutions have become.
By definition, all leaders must have followers. So, hearing how our participants describe the outstanding leaders they’ve followed, and how these leaders made them feel, we’ve redefined our entire approach to leadership development and self improvement.
– If leadership used to be about knowing more, is it now about asking more?
– If it was never really about just doing more, was it actually about being more?
– Because leadership is not something you ‘do’, it’s more than that: it’s a state of ‘being’.
– Think about this. Now think of the most inspiring leader you’ve encountered.
– What made them distinct and different?
You’ll recall the great things they ‘did’; the ‘way’ they did it: there was clarity, coherence and authenticity. But, it was how they made you feel that really set them apart.
We’d love to discuss your specific Team Training needs, so please Get in touch today and see how we can help.

One of our Account Managers will be in touch with you soon. We look forward to discussing your learning needs.
Angela, or Ange if you know her well, and you will, is a Learning Designer with the Melbourne team. She’s a bundle of brightness and smiles with a brain of…well…plasticity. And she knows it! If you catch her on public transport you’ll see her devouring podcasts, learning design books, blogs, TED talks…you name it, she’s on it and using it all to inform her practise – whether it’s needs analysis, gamification, e-learning or facilitated workshops. She’s a goal setter and achiever and one of her goals is to design learning you will love.
You might have heard of us – we’re the learning company that popped out of nowhere in Australia three years ago, radiating passion and drive. Since then we’ve been making quite a name for ourselves and now we’ve got more work than we can handle.
With 15 years’ learning experience under our belts, numerous awards and a team that oozes culture and warmth, it’s fair to say what we’re doing works. So now we’re on a growth journey that’s speeding up. To help us fulfil our promises to our clients we’re on the lookout for a fellow learning and development evangelist who, like us, can’t stand bad learning. To ensure nothing gets out the door that’s anything less than jaw dropping, we’re keen to talk with someone who’s first love is learning, and who’s also passionate about forming life-long partnerships with our clients.
What we love about you…
You’re bold. You’ve uncovered new business in past roles and thrive on the thrill of discovering new learning opportunities where you can showcase what we do. You have that rare ability to hunt down new clients and build deep and lasting relationships at the same time. You’ve made a dramatic impact on your current organisation, now it’s time to take your talent to the rest of Sydney.
You’re entrenched in learning, you’ve always seen things differently from everyone else and you can’t rest until what you’ve done is better than last time. That doesn’t mean bells and whistles; it means real, authentic learning that rocks the learner’s world and lifts them to a place where they can feel super; better than they thought possible.
What our clients say about us…
We’re the little company with big ambitions and we’re going for it. You’ll get to be on a journey where everything’s possible and nothing’s a stupid idea. You’ll get to work with the best learning team in Australasia (in our completely objective opinion of course). And you’ll get to work on projects that hardly anyone else gets the chance to work on, in a way that makes outsiders jealous. Oh, and there’s definitely a career path. Just quietly, we’re kinda hoping that if you’ve got leadership skills you can step up into a leadership role in the next year or two.
So you’ve read this ad, and maybe this job’s not for you. Here’s the thing, you know who would be perfect for this role. And they don’t have a clue that this awesome opportunity is waiting for them. Go on, tell them – send them our way and you’ll have the pleasure of changing someone’s life. They’ll thank you and so will we.
We’re easy to contact, email me, Beth@inspiregroup.co.nz and I’ll be in touch.
